Geraldine B. (Jeri) Crimmins - 74, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 23rd in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Lynn Bruch officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in St Joseph's Cemetery, Barnum. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where there will be a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a vigil at 7:00 p.m.
Jeri is survived by her husband Cliff; sons, Doug Crimmins and his wife Cheri of Fort Dodge, Thomas Crimmins of Fort Dodge, R. James Crimmins of Fort Dodge, John Crimmins of Fort Dodge; daughters, Cindy McColley and her husband Mike of Des Moines, Shirl Smith and her husband Greg of Camano Island, WA, Patricia Day and her husband David of Des Moines, Julie Roest and her husband Robert of Fort Dodge, Jane Graybill and her husband Mark of Lakeville, MN; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Marie Carlson of Wapello, IA, Delores Nelle Kolnes of Urbandale, IA, Betty Lou Cannoy of Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Berniece (Callahan) Sorenson.
Geraldine (Jeri) Sorenson was born July 6, 1934 in Humboldt, Iowa. She was educated in Fort Dodge, graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1952. On June 14, 1952 she was united in marriage to Clifford Crimmins at Sacred Heart Church and they established their home in Fort Dodge. Jeri and Cliff relocated to California for several years before returning to Fort Dodge in 1991.
Jeri was a member of Holy Trinity Parish - Sacred Heart Church site.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
