HUMRICH, The died unexpectedly on OBITUARIES Reverend BRUGH, Warren Wickline, 73, of Roanoke, died Monday, June of Roanoke, June 16, 1997.

Funeral 11 a.m., Friday, Tuesday, 1997. Rev. Rader Daleville Chapel. Humrich had enjoyed excellent physical and intellectual health up until his death. Rev.

Humrich and his family were longtime residents of Roanoke. From 1961 until 1974, he was the Pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene. He and Mrs. Humrich returned to Roanoke in 1982, where they lived until the present. He pastored the Salem Church of the Nazarene until his retirement in 1992.

Rev. Humrich, a native of Smith Center, is survived by his wife, Merretta; a daughter and son-in-law, Rhunette Humrich and Charles Sexton of Oak Park, a son, Rex Elliott of New York City; two brothers, Victor and Paul of Smith Center, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip a and Maude; and five brothers and sisters. Rev. Humrich was a true servant of God, having spent his entire life as a minister in Kansas.

1997. A former Treasurer of the Norfolk Western Railway, Mr. McCartney was employed by the for 39 years. He served on company the boards of the United Way of Roanoke Valley and the Roanoke Chapter of the American Red Cross. Mr.

McCartney was a 1949 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Accounts and Finance. He was preceded in death by wife, Anne T. McCartney, and his parents, Leonard R. and Edith G. McCartney.

He was born June 23, 1933 in Lillington, N.C., a son of the late Stephen Brooks McKinney and Ruby Smith McKinney. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Steve was former owner of Stephens Galley Restaurant of Smith Mountain Lake and Stephens Galley Restaurant of Bedford. Prior to moving to Goodview he owned The Niblick and Its Pub Restaurant and Stephens Steak House and Oyster Bar, both of Greensboro. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Brian McKinney in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Cooper McKinney; a very special nephew, Gary M. REYNOLDS Homer C. 70, of Roanoke, died in the VA Hospital SISSON, Nancy Carroll Jackson, 66, of 111 Hyland Rustburg, died Wednesday, June 18, 1997 at the Medical Care Center, Lynchburg after a long illness. She was the wife of Robert Marshall Sisson after 47 years of marriage. Born in Tazewell County, she is the daughter of Pansy Long Jackson of Roanoke and the late Edward Lawrence Jackson. Mrs.

Sisson attended Fort Hill United Methodist Church, Lynchburg and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse for Lynchburg General Hospital after 26 years of service. In addition to her husband and her mother, she is survived by one son, Stanley Dean Sisson and his wife, Kim of Lynchburg; one daughter, Karen Sisson Thomas and her husband, Bill of Casa Grande, Arizona; two brothers, Frank Jackson Roanoke and Edward L. Jackson of Blue Ridge; three sisters, Martha Lou West of Covington, Betty Schwinn of Baltimore, Md. and Sue Mills of Roanoke and one grandson, Robert Marshall Sisson II of Lynchburg. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m.

Friday at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, Lynchburg by the Rev. Wayne Lanham. Entombment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
